P5 Certification Classification Based on Feedback Final Film

Meaning and Purpose: Classifying a film according to familiar codes is important because it lets audiences know whether or not they should be watching something. I wouldn’t want anyone to view my films if they would be too disturbed or offended by them. 

The rating of 12 is usually reserved for films that are especially bloody or violent. Although that is not present in my film, there are no redeeming qualities. It is not like the violence or the creeping are afterthoughts of a larger story, they are the entire story. The characters are consumed with lust and observing others. They are not shown doing anything else, for the most part. Because of this, the movie is psychologically very disturbing. Even the man saving the woman from violence in the end is only there because he has been following her with a camera. Saving her only adds to the uneasiness the audience feels watching this. Therefore, everyone encouraged an 12 rating and I agree. 

I decided to 12 level for my video.

Certification classification rates films in terms of age appropriateness, to make sure people see the right films for them.

The role they play is very important, as they provide ratings for every single commercially sold movie. The public trusts these ratings and decide wether the movie is fit for viewing. This is the main way that children are prevented from watching violent movies. However this does not prevent them completely, as these are mere guidelines, and media players cannot detect the age of the person viewing the movie. The implications of an incorrectly classified film can be very dramatic. It can have a huge impact on the final revenue of the movie, as too high of a rating will stop it from reaching a large audience.

I set up some questions by google docs and send to my classroom mates to answer it.

 These results above showed that this video is not suitable for the children who is too young and when they watch this,it's better they can watch it with their parents and guardians.

According to this result,Looking at the pie chart, I can see that the majority of people think this film deserves a 12 rating. This goes against my original plan of a 15 rating.Therefore, I would like to request for a 12 Certification classification.
